Kylie Przymus
Hi! My name is Kylie Przymus and I’m an Associate Clinical Social Worker under the supervision of Jodi Abramowitz PhD and Rachel Wedemire LPCC.
I’m so glad that you are here looking for support for either yourself or your child. I know that it can be a scary first step, but I’m proud of you for doing so. My biggest priority as a therapist is to create a space where you can come and be your full authentic self without judgement. I will make sure we go at the pace you feel comfortable with, and that our work together is collaborative.
I have experience working with adults in mental health clinics, working as a high school therapist, and working in an adolescent residential treatment center. My passion for working with adolescents and their families has been a driving force throughout my career. I know how challenging this stage of life can be, and I’m honored to be part of that.
I value taking a trauma-informed and client-centered approach when working with my clients. I believe that it’s important to utilize evidence-based practices, and view the person as whole rather than just symptoms. An overall goal I have for my clients is to help them cultivate a life where they feel empowered, are able to validate their feelings, and are able to choose healthy coping mechanisms in hard moments.
One of the things I love most about being a therapist is celebrating all the wins – big and small – with my clients. I will also work hard to learn about your strengths and use that in our sessions.
Apart from being a therapist I love everything to do with the ocean, trying new foods, drinking good coffee and traveling to new countries. I’m excited about the prospect of working with you or your child, and would love to be part of your healing journey.
