Associate Clinical Social Worker
Supervised by Melissa Brody LMFT
Hello there, I’m Andrea Padilla an Associate Clinical Social worker working under the supervision of Melissa Brody, LMFT.
My passion and goal as a mental health professional is to support children, adolescents, and families reclaim healthy, authentic, and joyous lives. I’ve had the privilege of work with families from diverse backgrounds, and with various needs. Part of my experience has allowed me to witness the positive impact of early intervention in children and families. I also value empowering and supporting parent(s)/caregiver(s) to promote impactful change.
I would like to invite you to a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where we can collaboratively explore the unique needs of your child, adolescent, and/or family. It may be that your child is having difficulties with transitions, that your teen has become withdrawn from their social life, or that you are struggling to identify how to best support your child and feel overwhelmed. Together we will develop clear goals, and explore evidence based practices relevant to the needs identified.
I enjoy being creative on how I apply interventions, with the intention of forming genuine connections with children and adolescents, and to organically be included in their world during our time together. This may look like creating art with a child, or developing a video game with a teen. This may also look like creating a fun bubble activity for a parent and child to have a positive interaction. In our time together, you can expect that it will be intentional, purposeful, and relevant to the goals developed.
Seeking to move along a path towards understanding, growth, and change can be intimidating, but it does not have to feel lonely. I respect the courage it took to search for support. I am here as an ally, and honored to support you in this next step.
I am also bilingual in Spanish, and able to support Spanish speaking communities.
